does jergens skin firming lotion work??does it like make the dimples n my legs go away or make my legs smaller?does it tone my legs(including thighs) up and make them smaller?what does it do?!!
Jergens skin firming lotion?!!!?
Like the commercial says, "if you want firmer muscles, go to the gym... if you want firmer skin, try Jergen's Skin Firming Lotion."
In other words, it won't get rid of the dimples, but if your skin is saggy, it will help that.
Jergens skin firming lotion?!!!?
It temporarily tightens the surface of the skin a little bit.
It's not a drastic change and only lasts until your next shower. There's no cure for cellulite (dimples). That's actually malformed fat cells and fiberous tissue, which is why even thin models sometimes have it.
Reply:No, they don't work. If you want serious cellulite solution, try some good anti cellulite product, like Cellulite RX. And you have got to work out too.

Dry Skin Around Nose?
I think it's just the change in weather, get a more thicker kind of lotion/moisturizer and apply it more often to the dry areas. This happens to me and that is my remedy. Good Luck!
Dry Skin Around Nose?
Dry skin may appear on any skin-covered parts. Fortunately, dry skin problems respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an all-natural cream that contains natural oils that gives soothing and glowing results.
In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.
Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include lotions with natural-oil ingredients. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.

Skin under eyes hollow?
What causes this? I have read drugs and alchohol, lack of sleep, and malnutrition. I do not use heavy drugs, but I smoke a little pot, like 1 or 2 hits a day, and like 2 beers a night, and my diet is not exactly the healthiest it can be. I am willing to quit the pot and tone down the drinking. I've done neither today. I want to be healthy. What should I do as far as the nutrition part of it? Is there some sort of detox I can do to get a good start? I am willing to do anything here I just want to look and feel healthy. How long will it take before I start to notice a change? I also have one more question... I have seen people on television on shows like Intervention and they are hard core drug users and they don't have anything wrong with their eyes why is that? I don't have anyone in my family like this so I know it is not in the genes. I do have fair skin, perhaps that is why? Thanks I am looking forward to looking and feeling better and appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Try drinking lots of water and eating heaps of fruit and vegetables. The people in the commercials have nothing wrong with their eyes because they're actors. Good luck.
Skin under eyes hollow?
Dark circles under the eyes are a common complaint. They make you appear tired, even when you're not, and can add years to your face.
The most common cause of dark circles under your eyes is one you can't control: your family.
Contrary to what you may have heard, fatigue usually doesn't play a role in dark under-eye circles. Lack of sleep is not a common cause either, although not sleeping can make dark circles appear worse because of swelling around the eyes. What does cause dark circles under the eyes? Here's a list of the most common causes.
1. Heredity
"The most common type of under-eye circles are usually an inherited trait like varicose veins and have nothing to do with underlying disease or how much sleep you get,"
Dark circles run in families for a number of reasons. When blood passes through the veins under your eyes (where the skin is very thin), dark circles can appear. If your skin is more transparent (an inherited trait), the circles will appear darker.
Meanwhile, you can also inherit an excess amount of skin pigmentation under the eyes, which leads to dark circles, and others, particularly those of Mediterranean ethnicity, have dark pigmentation in the dermis layer of the skin that creates a blue-black hue below the eyes .
Finally, the shape of your face can also contribute to dark circles. Those who are born with a deep hollow (or "tear trough") in the inner corner of their eyes can have dark circles because of a shadow that's cast near the corner of their eyes, says Tsao.
2. Eczema
People with the chronic skin condition eczema under their eyes may experience darkening in the area, which is especially noticeable in people with darker skin. The discoloration comes from inflammation and rubbing your itchy eyes.
3. Allergies
Substances that you are sensitive to can dilate the blood vessels in the delicate under-eye area,The blood then shows through the skin.
Further, allergies often cause your eyes to itch, and rubbing or scratching your eyes can cause the skin to darken. People who suffer from hay fever may have under-eye smudges during allergy season, and those who have food allergies may also experience dark circles when they eat a food they're sensitive to.
4. Cold or Sinus Infection
Superficial blood vessels in the skin can lead to dark circles under the eyes. A cold or sinus infection increases pressure on these blood vessels, which makes it even more likely that dark circles will appear. Also, if your skin becomes pale due to a cold or sinus infection (or because of fatigue, menstruation, pregnancy, etc.), dark circles will be accentuated.
If you have dark circles, don't rub your eyes! Doing so will make the skin more inflamed and thicker, and the dark circles will appear darker.
5. Aging
Although getting older doesn't mean you'll automatically get dark under-eye circles, aging will tend to make existing dark circles stand out more, and may make them more permanent.
6. Medications
Certain medications, such as those that cause blood vessels to dilate, can cause under-eye circles to appear darker.
7. Lack of Nutrients
Not eating a variety of healthy foods can lead to nutrient deficiencies that contribute to discoloration under the eyes.
How to Prevent Dark Circles Under Your Eyes:
Although inherited dark circles can't be prevented, there are a number of things you can do to make sure they're kept as invisible as possible:
-Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fresh, whole foods.
-Avoid rubbing or scratching your eyes, which will cause the skin to become thicker and inflamed.
-Identify, and try to avoid, potential allergens.
-Get enough sleep and take time to relax (and let go of stress). This will help keep you healthy and less likely to come down with a cold or sinus infection.
-Try placing cool tea bags or cucumber slices on your (closed) eyes for 10-15 minutes. Compounds in tea bags called tannins have been found to help reduce swelling and discoloration under the eyes, while cucumber slices help reduce puffiness.

What's Your Skin Care Routine?
My is:
wash face w/ proactiv
wash face w/ baking soda
tone face w/ apple cider vinegar
rinse it off
put on repairing lotion
put on skin lightening lotion
i got this routine off a website, do u think it will work?
What's Your Skin Care Routine?
I take:
A pill or two of antibiotics in the morning.
Wash my face with water or exfoliating stuff.
If my face gets glowy from sweat and/or grease then I might wash it during the day with just a splash of water.
A pill (or two, depending how many I took in the morning) of antibiotics.
Face wash with water and/or exfoliating stuff.
Works great for me, wont get rid of everything of course but I look 1000% better than earlier! :D
Just remember that the most complex isnt necessarily the best, this simple routine works for me (every person is different of course, one plan might not wok for everyone). And dont wash your face more than twice a day, although just a quick splash of water during the day wont hurt you.
****
I'm not sure about the baking soda. I've heard that its good as it dries the skin but you gotta remember to moisturize your skin enough.
What's Your Skin Care Routine?
wash face w/ proactiv
tone face w/ proactiv toner
put on repairing lotion
put on bare vitamins
put on moisturizer w/ spf
who knows, try it out and see if it works for you. different skin care regimines work differently for different people.
Reply:I think it'll work for you, but if you are having bad problems with acne i'd try accutane, that's why I only have to wash my face with soap twice a day. My skin looks so nice now!
Reply:1. Wash face with La Mer Cleansing lotion and rinse off with a sponge and lukewarm water
2. Wool face out with La Mer Oil Absorbing tonic
3. Rub in La Mer Moisturizing Gel Creme
Well, in my case La Mer does wonders and I've been using it for over two years now. Anything else works too as long as you cleanse, tone and moisturize. Mists would work too and sun block is essential for when you head out into the sun. Skin lightening lotion will strip the upper layer of your skin so apply sunblock after that. Hope this helped

Skin Discoloration?
I am suppose to be brown in complexion but my skin is discolored with patches of black in between. It was never like this. What body lotion can I use to give me an even tone for my body and face? Please don't mention Cocoa butter or Ambi.been there doesn't work for me.What next ?
Skin Discoloration?
Sounds like sun spots to me. These are called hyperpigmentations and are from prolonged sun exposure. Use a hydroquinone based product. It is a bleaching agent that will even out your skin tone. But if you are tanning, forget it. You will just get more later.
Skin Discoloration?
no hydroquinone products please.. they do lighten the skin but the damages outweigh the benefit.. so forget about that, plus products with mercury or steroids..
kojic acid or licorice are the safer ingredients to go for.. potency of products is another.. with more tips on successful even skin tone, go to this link -

Reply:try glow by jergens or olay then go in the sun for 15 min everyday then the patches will even out
Reply:Whatever you do-do NOT bleach your skin. NO hydroquinone! I am brown too, and got the same problem some time back and went to the dermatologist, and they gave me this stuff that completely peeled my skin! Worst mistake! My natural bronze skin was gone, I couldn't even go outside! I am from an island!!!
Finally, I just took it upon myself and applied some sunscreen and started going little by little in the sun! Not saying this is what you should do. To each their own, your situation may be completely different than mine! But what I have noticed, something so natural that they want us to stay out of is exactly what "I" needed! And I started to lessen the Spf as time went by...now I am back to my natural bronzed skin! It took a while, but for quite a while it look like I had a map of the world growing on my face!
It's definitely a confidence killer! I have also found out the best way is not to wear a lot of makeup to hide it-you need to let your skin breathe and let the sun hit it (not a lot, in moderation of course). Best makeup is bronzers! Because you can buy different colors to blend with different areas of your skin...nobody has exact color all over anyway! And it's light too and you can wear a sunscreen moisturizer underneath. But those things tend to go away by themselves, but they suck I know!
Oil of Olay makes this moisturizer now called "Definity" that is supposed to address this but without bleaching!
Is it on your face or body?

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.
http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11...
If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Oh my..well, I would try the remedies the other person posted..they sound great!
Also, if your going to continue to sleep in your makeup..( bad habits die hard) at lease get some mineral makeup like Bare minerals. It helps to even skin tone, like rosacea and different tones. Without leaving any signs of that dreaded makeup line. Also they claim it is so pure you can sleep in it.
At 13, you do not want to continue with the habits you have..I dont wanna nag or anything, but at 25 you dont want to look 40 either. And I have seen women like that.
